Limited Warranty for Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Generator

1.0 Overview
Qiangsheng Magnets Co. Ltd. (“QM” hereafter) warrants to the end-purchaser from the
time of delivery for a period of certain years as shown below, following the date of delivery
of QM Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Generator.
QM warrants its Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Generator products (“the AFPMG”
hereafter) shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use, and
the AFPMG shall perform substantially as set forth in the Product Specifications in the
current documentation as provided by QM.
The foregoing product warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied,
including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose, whether imposed by contract, statute, course of dealing, custom or
usage of otherwise.
2.0 Manufacturer Defect
A QM-supplied part which has failed and requires replacement. Approval for
Manufacturer Defect work is required by QM prior to any work completed. Warranty
reimbursement for a Manufacturer Defect will occur once the defective parts and a
Warranty Claim Form are received by QM.
Upon receipt of defective parts returned to QM and proven to be defective upon
inspection, such parts will be exchanged for new parts or comparable rebuilt parts. QM
also reserves the right to replace any defective parts with equivalent or superior parts.
3.0 Warranty Defect
Service required on parts that are not deemed a Manufacturer Defect but require
servicing to ensure a properly functioning turbine. Approval for Warranty Defect work is
required by QM prior to any work completed.
Once the warranty work is approved by QM and a Warranty Claim Form is received
reimbursement will be provided.
4.0 Labor Reimbursement
Unless otherwise stated in local statutes, labor reimbursement will be paid according to
the going retail rate. In coordination with this, the QM’s recommended hours to diagnose
the problem and complete the specified service will govern the reimbursable amount
unless otherwise approved in advance by QM.
Labor and costs associated with turbine lowering and raising are not covered if service
provided by a third party
Labor and mileage costs associated with travel to or from the turbine site will not be
reimbursed.
Before QM established regional authorized service centers, QM will ship the replacement
parts only, the end purchaser will be responsible for installation.
4.0 Labor Reimbursement
Unless otherwise stated in local statutes, labor reimbursement will be paid according to
the going retail rate. In coordination with this, the QM’s recommended hours to diagnose
the problem and complete the specified service will govern the reimbursable amount
unless otherwise approved in advance by QM.

5.0 Shipping
QM will pay for one-way regular ground (sea/land) shipping charges. If express delivery
by air is requested, the customer will be responsible to pay for the difference, unless the
replacement part is less than 2 Kg in weight.
6.0 Limitations on Warranty
Warranty coverage is extended only to those customers who have submitted a completed
Warranty Registration Form. Warranty only for the first purchaser – not transferrable
without written consent (this would cover re-installation).
In no event will QM be liable for any breach of warranty or any claim, loss or damage
arising from or relating to the installation of the turbine. In no case will QM be liable for any
amount in excess of the price paid by the Customer to QM. Warranty coverage may be
void under any of the following circumstances:
Serial number altered or damaged.
AFPMG installed, or supplies not manufactured or supplied by QM
Any part has been altered or replaced without QM permission.
Reason for part failure due to an improper installation
Warranty may be voided if not registered with QM within 30 days after cargo received
Serial number altered or damaged.
7.0 Authorized Service Centers
QM will establish Authorized Service Centers in Europe (Germany) and other suitable
locations as called by QM internal plans. After regional Authorized Service Centers are
established, QM will have maintenance service capabilities
8.0 Limited Warranty for the AFPMG
QM supplies 2 years warranty for all series of AFPMG products.
9.0 Limited Warranty–Non-Coverage
Damage or loss of function of QM‘s AFPMG sustained during periods when speeds
exceed 20% of AFPMG’s rated rotated speed
Damage or loss of function of QM‘s AFPMG due to improper wiring or instruction not
following the manufacturer’s manuals
Damage or loss of function of QM‘s AFPMG due to contacts of flying debris or objects
Damage or loss of function of QM‘s AFPMG due to lightening, tornado or other acts of
God
Damage or loss of function of QM‘s AFPMG due to unauthorized repair work
performed (this will be true after QM established regional authorized service centers.)
10.0 Warranty Validation Procedures
For each installation, QM’s Limited Warranty will be validated and made effective if and
only if QM receives the following information:
Location of the installation/Usage (address, city, state, country)
Starting date
Description of installation (For wind system-On Grid, Off Grid, tower type and height,
PMG wattage, controller, dump loads and inverter type, etc.)
List of devices under warranty and associated serial number or ID
Reality photos of the AFPMG and the installed
Reality photos of the systems connection and installation used by QM’s AFPMG
Having received the above information, QM will send a letter to confirm the warranty
validation, or request more information if needed.
